Extra Credit Assignment information: ***You may submit ONE extra credit assignment per quarter. You may not submit TWO in the same quarter.***
Extra Credit:You may earn extra credit in this class TWICE per semester at 10 points per extra credit assignment. If you want to receive credit, you must complete the assignment in its entirety. There are two assignment options available to you, both of which are accessible directly from my webpage. The two options are as follows:
Option A- Watch a Ted Talk from the playlist: "Ted Under 20." You can select any of the thirteen Talks, with the exception of "Bluegrass Virtuosity." You must watch the Ted Talk, and then write a two-page report that gives a complete summary and reflection. The report must have an introduction, body, and conclusion. Your report should give a complete summary of what is discussed in the video, followed by an in-depth reflection and analysis. (You might discuss what the video made you think or feel, how you related to it, what you liked/disliked, etc.) Option B- Visit the Student News Daily website, go under "Archives," and select "Tuesday's World Events." Select one of the more recent articles to read. Read the article in its entirety, answer the questions, then write a 1-2 page report that gives a complete summary and reflection.
**Note:All extra credit work must be submitted via Google Classroom and turned in to me before the end of each quarter. Credit will be added at the end of the semester. When an extra credit assignment is complete, you will attach it to an assignment link posted on Google Classroom at semester’s end. Please note: Extra Credit assignments are privileges, not rights.
